My career as an artist encompasses and enriches my entire life.
I seek to pursue a career that allows me to develop artistically and personally and engages me with new and rewarding challenges. The concept of re-invention is especially important to my work. Working in a wide variety of media has provided me opportunities to create and grow artistically in new and challenging ways. I seek to creatively blend past traditions with new and evolving technologies - creating galleries on my website that reflect these choices. Themes have ranged from capturing instantaneous street images, to exploring family history, building 3-dimensional structures, and also writing plays. I feel strongly that the Arts should link with the community, and to that end I am involved in many local and regional arts councils, and volunteer as curator at a satellite gallery space.
I have been honored to have shown my work in over 200 art shows in the past decade and have been very fortunate to have accepted 167 awards to date – including 24 Best in Show.
